The Denver Photowalk Group had their first Creativity Workshop yesterday at Confluence Park in Denver, Colorado. It was a great time (although I might be a little biased) and I think it was beneficial to everyone who showed up.
The group worked on being selective with exercises that forced photographers to make 100 images in the first hour and then slow down take only 3 or 4 images in the second hour. The idea was to learn to identify the reason we’re attracted to a subject before we make an image. Hopefully, with some forethought and visualization, we can get closer to our vision with less images – saving us time and energy (and hard drive space).
I posted my work on these exercises here.
Members of the group will be posting their images either at our Meetup.com site or here, on our Flickr group site
If you’re in Denver you really need to come down and join one of our meetings. They are always free and a lot of fun.
Cheers – Alex
