Denver Art Museum Photography Exhibit – expanding your vision

I was, and still am, very excited that the Denver Art Museum has finally set aside space for their collection of photography. I headed down to the DAM on Friday to spend a little time with their first exhibit “Exposure: Photos from the Vault” which runs until October 31st.
Adding Depth to Your Photographs

For example, my local photography group – The Denver Photowalk Group – recently had a creative workshop on adding depth to your images. As I was preparing for the meet I realized that I rarely take advantage of depth in my personal imagery.
Starting again

It has been a while since I posted anything here. You may have noticed that my “Photo-a-Day” project fell by the wayside. I’m beginning to climb back on that photographic horse so hopefully the posts will start again with more regularity and more pertinence.
Chiaroscuro

I’m not implying that I am living up to Paul Strand’s idea of the photographer moving past the “limitations” of painting and other art forms. I’ve just begun reading Mr. Strand’s work and it is making me look at photography as art in a whole new light.
